Keystone Wills

Will Instruction Form

PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL

1. Your Details

Client 1

Client 2 (If applicable)

2. Family & Background

3. Your Assets (Estimates Only)

This helps ensure there are no issues with the drafting. Exact pennies are not required.

Is the property held as Joint Tenants (passes automatically to survivor) or Tenants in Common (you own distinct shares, e.g. 50/50)?

4. Guardians (For children under 18)

Who should look after your children if you pass away while they are minors?

5. Executors (The Organisers)

These are the people who will handle the paperwork, pay debts, and distribute the money.
(Note: Partners often appoint each other as the first executor).

6. Specific Gifts (Distributed First)

Important: These items or cash sums are given out before the rest of the estate is divided. If you don't list anything here, everything goes into the "Residuary Estate" below.

A. Specific Items & Cash Gifts

Please describe the item clearly and provide the beneficiary's Full Name and Address.

B. Charitable Gifts

If you wish to leave a gift to a charity, please provide the details below.
(Note: Including the Registered Charity Number ensures the correct organisation benefits).

7. Residuary Estate (The Remainder)

This is everything left over after debts, funeral expenses, and the specific gifts above have been paid. It is usually divided by percentage (e.g., 50% to person A, 50% to person B).

A. On First Death (If Couple)

If NO, please list who you want to benefit on first death below:

B. On Second Death (Or if Single)

If you answered YES above, who will inherit the residue if both of you die? (e.g. Children, relatives).
Please provide Full Names and Addresses.

C. Substitute Beneficiaries

Who should inherit if one of your first choice beneficiaries (listed above) has died?
Important: Please clearly state who each person below is replacing.

8. Inheritance Age for Minors

This section applies only if a beneficiary (child/grandchild) is under 18 when you pass away.

The Law: Executors must hold the money until the child reaches a certain age. The default is 18. You can specify a later age (e.g. 21 or 25) if you prefer they don't receive a large sum too young.

9. Pets

If you have pets, it is important to decide who will look after them. You can also leave a cash gift to that person to help with food and vet bills.

10. Funeral & Other Wishes

11. Other Legal Matters

12. Special Offer

Free Will Offer: If you are arranging Life Insurance via our partners Advantage Protection, you may be eligible for a full refund of your drafting fee.

13. Data Protection (GDPR)

We take your privacy seriously. By submitting this instruction form, you consent to the processing of your data for the purpose of drafting your Will.

Security Guarantee: This information will be held on a secure site and all data is encrypted to protect your privacy. We do not share your details with third parties (except where you have requested an introduction to Advantage Protection above).
